Hurley Says Lakers Were “Desperate”

Andrea Hurley said that Pelinka and Buss were “desperate” to get her husband to coach the Lakers. She said that they offered him a “blank check” and promised him full control of the team. However, Hurley said that her husband was not interested in leaving UConn.

Hurley Accuses Lakers of Tampering

Andrea Hurley’s comments have raised questions about whether the Lakers tampered with Hurley. Tampering is when a team makes contact with a player or coach who is under contract with another team. It is against NBA rules. The Lakers have denied any wrongdoing. However, if the NBA finds that the Lakers did tamper with Hurley, the team could face a number of penalties, including fines and the loss of draft picks.

Hurley’s Wife Says Meeting Was “Yucky”

Andrea Hurley said that the meeting with Pelinka and Buss was “yucky.” She said that she felt like she was being “used.” “It was like they were trying to buy my husband,” she said. “It was really gross.”
