AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Longhorns' season continues to spiral downward as they fell to the West Virginia Mountaineers 31-23 on Saturday in Morgantown.

The loss is the fourth straight for the Longhorns, who are now 4-5 on the season and 3-4 in Big 12 play.

West Virginia quarterback JT Daniels threw for 517 yards and two touchdowns, while running back CJ Donaldson ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers threw for 185 yards and a touchdown, but he was also intercepted twice.

The Longhorns defense struggled to contain the Mountaineers' offense, allowing 517 yards of total offense.

Texas will look to rebound next week when they host the Iowa State Cyclones.
